It is with sadness that we inform you that Mile Stanojević, a longtime member and dedicated activist, has left us. His selfless contribution to our organization will be forever remembered. The commemoration will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 2-6 p.m. in the Sveta Gora funeral home, and the funeral will be held at the Gračanica monastery cemetery on Monday, March 10, at 12 p.m.
After the funeral, around 3 p.m., meeting will be at SBP (Serbian Brothers Help).
Our desire is that this place will be full of members and their guests who will not only enjoy it but enthusiastically contribute to its development and good reputation. Let the SBH estate be a place where one will feel at home, a place where we can maintain the culture and traditions of the old country.
We have two yearly events. The first is our Slava which is on Sretenje Gospodnje that takes place February 15th. The second is our picnic which takes place the first Sunday every August.
Besides that, we look forward to any and all events other organizations would like to host on our property.
So far, we’ve had several “Cvarkijadas” , Lovacko vece, Riblja vecera. We’ve also had the honor of organizing and hosting the big gathering of Serbian soccer clubs from all across the US and Canada a few times. In 2019 we hosted more than 6,000 guests-- an extraordinary event.
If the day is sunny and nice, maybe all you need is a folding chair, sunglasses, and a lovely view of the lake? What perfectly peaceful scenery for you to enjoy!
Or if the day is crisp and still, maybe you can take a few pictures of a deer calmly searching for some grass under the snow by the water? The lake can be enjoyed during any time of the year.
Kids will have the best time exploring this vast, secure, and entertaining space. Imagine the joy in their eyes as they fly high on the swings, play catch with a friend, play tag with a group, shoot some hoops, fly a kite, or use their imagination to create their own games. Come visit us and allow them that opportunity!
The banquet hall can accommodate up to 200 guests, and with your creativity or our engagement, with your catering or with an agreement with our cook, the orchestra and music will turn your event into an unforgettable memory. The space is suitable for all ages from children to the elderly as well as people with disabilities.
The restaurant space can accommodate up to 150 guests, but a party of two is just as appreciated. Lunch or dinner is available for purchase on the weekends.
You can rent the space as a banquet hall and bring your own creativity in decorating and organizing the food and music, or you can let us do the heavy lifting so you can relax and enjoy making unforgettable memories.
The space is appropriate for all ages and accessible to all individuals.
Again, parking is not a problem.
In addition to a kids’ playground, a basketball court and a few ideal fishing spots, we have three regulation size soccer fields with all that is needed to play the sport competitively — locker rooms, restrooms, bleachers, and a coffee and juice stand. Our property meets all the criteria of a memorable sports competition. This was successfully tested by events such as the 2019 All Serbs Soccer Competition, SERBIJADA, which brought almost sixty soccer clubs from all across the US and Canada. More than 6,000 guests spent three days on our property, socializing and enjoying sports, food, and music.
The soccer fields can be rented for either one-time use or continuous events.
